BBHHF or BBH?

Effective July 2018, the Bureau for Behavioral Health and Health Facilities was split into two separate and distinct entities under the umbrella of the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources, which is now the West Virginia Department of Human Services (DoHS). The Department of Health Facilities, formerly part of this bureau, is now its own entity known as the Department of Health Facilities (DHF). DHF is responsible for oversight of the seven state-owned and operated hospitals with long-term or acute care psychiatric functions for adults. Meanwhile, the Bureau for Behavioral Health (BBH) is responsible for the statewide administration of community-based behavioral health services.
